Hi!! My name is Diane DeNuccio (a.k.a. Mrs. D). I am so happy to be a part of the Great Beginnings Preschool. This will be my fourth year at GBP, but I taught 3-year-olds for eight years at another Leesburg preschool before moving to Pittsburgh for a year. While in Pittsburgh, I taught a preschool enrichment class. I also work as a substitute at a local Montessori school.

I love teaching preschool! The preschool-aged child’s curiosity and excitement of learning and discovering new things brings a smile to my face. Science experiments and fun games are some of the ways I love to instill the love of learning.

I grew up in Dover, OH but consider Leesburg home after being here for over 30 years. I received my undergraduate degree in Child and Family Services at Bowling Green State University and have a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from George Mason University.

My husband, Maurice, and I have three children. Samantha (Sam) lives in Plymouth, MN, Trent and Grant.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, gardening, doing puzzles and walking my dog, Jack. I love spending time with my family and watching hockey (Let’s Go CAPS!), and baseball (Go O’s!).

I feel blessed and honored to be a part of your child’s preschool experience. I look forward to meeting you and your child and getting to know more about your family throughout the school year. Looking forward to a fun-filled year!!
